Along with our research, the Conboy Lab actively supports the success of our members in both academia as well as in industry. Some of our past members have even gone on to start their own successful companies.
Immunis, Inc., a private biotech company creating novel cellular secretome therapies for age and disease-related immune decline, is delighted to have Professor Irina Conboy on its Scientific Advisory Board. Their investigational secretome product, IMMUNA, leverages leading-edge capabilities in cell culture to deliver a product of all natural, all human immune modulators in their natural relative concentrations, and is currently being tested in a Phase 1/2a clinical trial for muscle atrophy.
Juvena Therapeutics was founded by Hanadie Yousef, a former grad student in the Conboy Lab. The company focuses on the therapeutic potential of stem cell-secreted proteins and accelerating their development into life-saving therapies for multiple diseases through the use of a machine learning-enhanced biologics drug discovery and development platform.
NovaXS Biotech was founded by Alina Su, a former undergrad at the Conboy Lab. NovaXS is a therapeutic startup focused on improving treatment efficacy through an advanced drug delivery platform and innovative CRISPR gene therapy nanoparticle delivery. Currently, Irina Conboy is the CSO, with Mike Conboy as a Scientific Advisor on the board.
