Our lab is diverse and is comprised of researchers from the fields of bio-engineering, molecular and cellular biology, and chemical biology. We are also a part of Q3B, UCB/UCSF graduate group, Stem cell center; and we collaborate with many other research groups and biotechnology companies.
After a brief time at Richmond Field Station the Conboy lab has been functioning in Stanley Hall for the past 11 years. We are neighbors of Seung Wuk Lee and right next door to the Stem Cell Center with its many useful instruments and the help from wonderful Mary West.
We have mentored ~ 11 postdoctoral fellows (including those under the T32 award who recently became faculty) , 4 graduate, 4 master and over 30 undergraduate students, half of whom completed Honors’ Thesis, contributed as authors to published papers and excelled in their scientific careers. There have been a number of students from under-represented minorities in the Conboy lab. 16 women undergraduates have studied in our laboratory and many of them have authorship on our manuscripts and are developing into future science leaders at prestigious Universities’ doctorate programs.
